This is the sketch of Max, the first step which once approved, allows me to begin adding the fine details that will bring Max to life!
It may not look like much in the first stages, but the layers of colours allow me to add depth to the final portrait. The eyes are the most important for capturing the personality of the animal. Max has the most beautiful expression just in his eyes. They tell such a story.

Max is coming along beautifully!!! I had no doubt....Sue & Steve you will be so pleased. Alicia, Fallon watched over the birth of our new babies early June and I could just feel her presence with me ....the portrait still takes my breath away :O)
